While the Generative AIs become omnipresent, bringing closer the Singularity, it's kinda amusing seeing how the Upstarts, the Children of the New World and the let's call it The Resistance play cat and mouse in space.
The World is changing quickly yet Rising Phoenix and her friends are hellbent in something as charmingly old fashioned as creating a Philosopher's Stone. Her enemies are seemingly vintage with their whole freeing the guinea pigs mission. Classic heroics.
A complete waste of time and resources, at least it provides entertainment for us and our AIs. Pass more popcorn!

lying looks bad on you, it diminishes your beauty.
You didn't win in Las Vegas, quite the opposite indeed.
You chose to cut your losses, which I respect, and left with a Greek Goddess called Alice, the man you claim to be the Master of disguise Augustus Severinus Píngolas and the rest of the Upstarts, those who didn't fall to the Mighty Arya Darkstorm or our IA powered army. I use the name Upstarts because it fits you better than the one you use.
You live to fight another day, to pursue once more your dream of the Philosopher's Stone, while we are about to kickstart the Singularity. Our IA showed to be more than capable to handle any enemy in combat, even those with special habilities as the Upstarts.
We won't bother you, but you should know that both Children of the New World and the Resistance, Rebels or whatever they call themselves will go. The funny thing is that they won't exactly chase you but just go to their intended destination, before the fight in Las Vegas was a thing. We know you are going to the lab where the Academy and the Grey took their new guinea pigs, the same people those two groups have sworn to free. It will be interesting.

No sabría decir qué ha sucedido antes, el regreso del mal tiempo con una lluvia insuficiente para paliar la escasez de lluvia pero suficiente para arruinar cualquier plan en el exterior o el primer movimiento de nuestros enemigos. Nuestra magnifica aliada, la ciberguerrera Alice nos informa de que El Gran Gorynych se está moviendo cual sibilino depredador, aprovechando el conflicto armado en Ucrania. Esa operación militar especial que iba a durar unos días y que lleva meses enquistada, haciendo que el precio del gas se dispare, y con el todo. Parece ser que el infame cibercriminal está vendiendo NFTs de sus animales en peligro de extinción con un nuevo extra, dice que su dueño podrá acceder a fuentes de energía al margen del mercado. La falta de detalles y el lenguaje rimbombante y críptico que da forma a su "oferta" hablan a las claras de que estamos ante un vulgar timo. Desgraciadamente, hay individuos que en lugar de usar la tecnología para mejorar el mundo, la usan para actualizar los engaños de toda la vida y hacerse con dinero ajeno.
Sabemos que el El Gran Gorynych actúa con total impunidad, y no sólo en su país natal. Por eso, no nos queda más remedio que actuar. Nuestra compañera está investigando a sus esbirros, con el fin de poder adelantarnos a su jefe y poder tenderle una trampa. Siento que es un deber moral detener a este bellaco. El título de la entrada ya debería ser para los lectores más avezados una pista clara sobre el tema que vamos a tocar, pero habrá algunos que necesitarán una pista adicional, un nombre alternativo que quizás les resulte más familiar, El Malvado Zaroff. En cualquier caso, lo que hoy os traemos es una nueva primicia de la brillante ciber guerrera y magnífica espía Alice. Resulta que los negocios del siniestro miembro de Elysium que se hace llamar El Gran Gorynych van más allá de caracterizar a gorilas como miembros de la familia de los zares y convertirlos en NFTs de dudoso gusto. Los gorilas más agresivos de su colección han sido entrenados para cazar personas marcadas por su amo. Efectivamente, El Gran Gorynych lleva a cabo una variante del Juego más peligroso, en su caso parece un retorcido homenaje al Planeta de los Simios, con gorilas cazando a humanos.
Estas cazas humanas no son actividades clandestinas que lleve a cabo en absoluto secreto. No señor, todo lo contrario. Las retransmite en directo y las monetiza de todas las maneras que se os puedan ocurrir. Merchandising incluyendo NFTs de los "grandes momentos", apuestas sobre todo percance que pueda acontecer como quién sobrevivirá, el orden en el que morirán o qué gorila se cobrará más piezas. Los gobiernos, corruptos e indolentes, hacen la vista gorda a cambio de los ingresos que generan tanto El Gran Gorynych con su séquito como sus clientes, seguidores y curiosos varios. Nos informa Alice que ha podido identificar a algún académico tan entusiasmado con el concepto que ha llegado a presentar voluntarios a soldados de las Legiones Ilustradas para participar en las cacerías, compitiendo mano a mano con los gorilas por ver quién se hace con más cabezas. Esa es la verdadera naturaleza de la corrupta y decadente Academia.

Tenemos noticias frescas sobre la red de ciber criminales Elysium. Tras la entrada de nuestra compañera, la tecnomaga de Nueva York Gwen Marsters sobre los planes de Elysium con los polémicos NFTs, la ciberguerrera Alice Ayers ha obtenido información sobre uno de sus jerifaltes, un individuo particularmente siniestro. Su apodo es el Gran Gorynych, como el dragón de varias cabezas de los cuentos tradicionales rusos. Vive en una fortaleza cerca de Moscú y posee una fortuna en dinero, joyas, metales preciosos y criptomonedas. Se ignora su nombre o qué aspecto tiene, pues lleva su rostro siempre cubierto, cual Víctor Von Muerte o Darth Vader. Pero es no ni de lejos lo más inquietante de este personaje. No os sorprenderá saber que el origen de su riqueza no es lícito y que está involucrado en todo tipo de actividades criminales, pero hoy nos vamos a centrar en una específica, que es la que motiva el título de esta entrada, y es la exclusiva que nos ha proporcionado Alice.
Alice, una ciberguerrera con clase.
El Gran Gorynych comercia con especies en peligro de extinción. Se rumorea que todo su ostentoso vestuario ha sido confeccionado a partir de especímenes adquiridos vía contrabando. Pero eso no es todo, gracias a Alice hemos descubierto que tiene varios gorilas de montaña adiestrados, a los que caracteriza como miembros de la desparecida familia real rusa. Le gusta presentarlos en las fiestas privadas que organiza como el regreso de los zares, incluyendo la mítica Anastasia, que ha inspirado no pocas obras. También los usa como modelos para empresas de cosméticos sin escrúpulos, y ha sacado varias colecciones de NFTs con fotografías y vídeos. Curiosamente la temática no es novedosa en el mundo de los NFTs, pero sí lo es que no sean ilustraciones de monos, sino imágenes de gorilas reales, aunque caracterizados como seres humanos y obligados a imitarlos en espectáculos espeluznantes en los que uno no acaba de saber si abogar por el regreso de la monarquía zarista a Rusia o muestra su desprecio a la misma. Lo que tenemos claro es que habrá que no podemos perder de vista al Gran Gorynych. Debemos estar preparados para la siguiente jugada de Elysium.
