I don't know when this post will be published. I don't know how things will look once it does. All I know is that Lord Henry Winter is risking our greatest achievements for a bitter mixture of revenge and prejudice. I despise his goals and his methods. That's why I am writing this entry to send a public message to the amazing cyber warrior Alice, a brave woman who shines bright among questionable characters and who has taught me so much, including Pop Culture.
This track featuring our beloved Anna Tsuchiya alongside Emi Meyer is proof of how Pop Culture can build bridges between completely different worlds. "Cowboy Matsuri" is a perfect metaphor for our relationship: on paper, mixing traditional Japanese matsuri energy—complete with a lightning-fast traditional shamisen—and American Country-Western rhythms shouldn't work. Custom yukatas paired with cowboy boots! Yet, against all odds, these contrasting elements elevate each other into something vibrant, bold, and unforgettable. We may be very different, Alice, but because of those differences, we make each other better. Naturally, I am adding the brilliant Emi Meyer to my follow list right away.
Just as I never gave up on my pursuit of the Philosopher's Stone or my faith in Alice, you shouldn't give up either, no matter what Lord Henry Winter claims in his delusional speeches. That sad little man is biting off way more than he can chew. He should have retired with some modicum of dignity while he had the chance. Now there is no turning back.
